PREMIERE: Watch The Jerry Cans Celebrate Spring in Canada's North in Video for "Iqaluit"

Spring in Nunavut is much prettier than you'd expect.

While many in the world bid farewell to the snow, the people of Nunavut are just beginning to see their first few glimpses of spring. As evidenced in The Jerry Cans’ new video for “Iqaluit”, life within the North West Territories is both wondrous and spirited. Off of their album Nunavuttitut, the video for “Iqaluit” gives a personal look into a world not often seen. Switching from driving around in the bed of a truck to gliding across mountainsides on snowmobiles, The Jerry Cans provide an awesome tour of their homeland. With the sun beaming down on them from high above, watching The Jerry Cans bask in their hometown pride will have you seconding guessing that trip to Miami.

When asked why the band went with this particular treatment, they had this to say: “Spring is a wicked time of year up here in Nunavut. Lots of hunting, heading out on the land, and—as in this video—the best fishing in the world! Iqaluit means ‘many fish,’ and heading out to the fishing spot is the perfect way to balance urban life when it gets a bit too crazy in the 24 hour sunlight.”
