Miguel Sano Plays Kissy With the Ball Before Throwing Final Out, Set to Al Green

As all generous lovers say: you're welcome.

Miguel Sano doesn't play baseball—he makes love to it. Note the tenderness, the sensuality with which he picks up Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts' grounder to third base. The Minnesota Twins third baseman feels comfortable enough with himself to take the time to kiss the ball gently, passionately, before slinging it off to first base for the final out of last night's game.

Sure, you could argue that you shouldn't throw love away like he does. But real love is all about embrace and release. Being man enough to let your lover go be their better self—allowing them to self-actualize after basking itself in the glory of your sweet, sensitive touch. To celebrate Miguel's blesséd matrimony with the ball, we've set it to the sultry, dulcet baritone of Al Green. As all generous lovers say: you're welcome.

Here's another angle, so you can fully drink it in:

The game was a wild one in which the Twins scored five runs in the seventh, Sano made a big catch and then mashed some taters over the Green Monster for the final run to ultimately solidify the Twins' win at 11-9. Sano told Cut4 that the kiss was a way of reciprocating all the love that the ball provided him throughout the game.

"It was my way of showing emotion and thanking God for the game we had," he said. "It was just my emotions taking over. I was just happy we won. It was such an emotional game. So many ups and downs. We fought hard, stayed in there and showed we could hang with them."

Emotional, sensual, physical, animal—all those things. But Sano wouldn't go more than PG with the ball on TV. They ultimately only went to first base.
