Augsburg Keeper Scores Last-Minute Equalizer

Augsburg keeper scores equalizer in the final 90 seconds against Bayer Leverkusen and everyone went nuts.

Augsburg keeper Marwin Hitz scored an equalizer today against Bayer Leverkusen with about 90 seconds left to play, sending the home crowd into hysterics. Trailing 2-1, Augsburg was awarded a corner kick—so Hitz was up as an extra man—and after the initial offering was headed away, Augsburg regained possession and sent in another cross. This one was flicked down and then pinballed off two Leverkusen defenders before bouncing in front of Hitz. The keeper whipped his leg around and beat his counterpart to steal a draw.

Hitz was beaten by Stefan Reinartz with five minutes left in the game to take the lead, so when Hitz redeemed himself, everyone promptly went nuts, including the keeper himself:
