DEAR VICE - ERRATUM

Hey there,
I am writing in response to the review of the Aimee Mann CD that appeared recently. It is not possible that the reviewer, Sane Jane, listened to the CD. I'm not even defending the quality of the new release, but her commentary about the album was blatantly, factually incorrect, with regard to the lyrics and themes. Leaving something like this unaddressed publicly should be a source of significant embarrassment for the magazine. Allowing it to be printed was a serious enough mistake. Whoever wrote that should be fired and an explanation of the review should be printed. It is bizarrely inappropriate and just plain wrong.
Thanks,
ERIN

Sane Jane responds: "Dude, of course I listened to the CD. The whole shitty thing. It absolutely sounded like a bunch of songs you would hear during the credits of a movie with Sandra Bullock. I stand behind my review. It was like Sheryl Crow douching out of my speakers. Fire me? I wanted to fire myself."
