John Calipari Pulls a 'Home Alone,' Forgets Player Before Flying to LSU

John Calipari doesn't know where freshman Trey Lyles is and may have forgotten to bring him on the flight to LSU.

Right now, it's entirely possible that Kentucky freshman Trey Lyles is at home jumping on the bed, watching gangster movies, and shopping at the grocery store for the first time, all while The Wet Bandits case his house. Kentucky flew to Baton Rouge last night and, well, they forgot about Trey.

I thought Trey got on plane but we can't find him.

Has anyone in Lexington seen Trey? If anyone sees him, please let us know. #WhereIsTrey

Message to Trey: Wherever you are, if you don't make shoot around today, you won't play in the game tonight. #WhereIsTrey

Lyles has missed three games with an illness and it was a question whether he would travel with the team for tonight's game against LSU, since it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to fly him to Louisiana if he's not going to play. Calipari was asked about Lyles on Monday, before the flight:

"I don't have any sense right now. It's just, I was like (looking at) the training sheet which says he can go limited today, which is the first time. So, I'll see him today. Don't know if he's going to travel yet. If I don't think we're going to use him or he won't play in the game, I probably won't have him travel."

Seems like Lyles didn't make the trip, but these Coach Cal tweets, man, who knows?! He could be really lost out there. Sure, he may feel the rush of freedom but at some point he's going to start missing his mom coach, and then things are really going to get dicey. Be safe out there, Trey, and don't worry about Old Man Marley if you run into him, he's actually a pretty good dude.
