Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco took a line drive to the face from Melky Cabrera in the first inning against the White Sox tonight. Cabrera was just the second batter of the game for Carrasco and he was hit on a 1-2 pitch, his eighth pitch of the game. He went down immediately, sprawled out on the mound and grabbing his face. It looked like the ball may have slightly deflected off his throwing hand or glove before catching him, but it obviously did very little to slow the ball down.
