Among the many interesting aspects of the world of Teddy Ruxpin, star of the popular 1980s children's toy set and a TV show, none may be more remarkable than the object of Teddy's adventures: The Seven Crystals of Grundo. An ancient map takes Teddy and his best friend Grubby on an ancestral treasure hunt, in the hopes of ensuring that the crystals don't end up in the claws of an evil organization known as M.A.V.O. (Monsters and Villains Organization).

Unrelatedly, The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, or Мечето Ръкспин, was one of the very first western cartoon shows to be seen by the people of Bulgaria in the late 1980s. Its influence can be seen in the post-punk band REVIEW, one of whose songs is called "Teddy Ruxpin," and the first underground music shop to open in the capital, Sofia. It's called M.A.V.O.
