Zizek, the tireless philosopher-clown, loves movies as much as he loves defending Marxism. That's a hard line to tow these days, but he does so with typical pride and volume and humanity and humor in a recent film, The Pervert's Guide to Ideology (not to mention a simiarly typical slate of new books). My colleague in London Alex Miller recently visited Zizek at his apartment in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to talk about the film (you can watch an excerpt below) and get lectured on the importance of being on time. He also had to ask about that poster of Stalin on the wall: It's "purely to annoy idiots" when they visit, Zizek said.
