As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches on a daily basis. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.
Pins are less a trend than a tradition, from "Wine Me, Dine Me, 69 Me" biker pins, to Italian minimalist design brooches from the 80’s. Now, platforms like Instagram, Etsy, and Big Cartel are allowing young brands the opportunity to grow mom-and-pop-style businesses and build loyal audiences. The amount of ingenuity, humor, and style in the pin game is overwhelming. There are too many good releases for me to just pick five this week, but that’s fine—you can find more for yourself through @patchgame and with the #pingame hashtag on Instagram. At the end of this post you’ll find a special 20% online discount code for my pin and patch shop, Strike Gently Co.

Ghost Goods has the sort of attention to detail that my ADHD-ridden work habits envy. Their pins are beautifully designed, their packaging is clean and appealing, and everything in their shop is reasonably priced enough that you'll still be able to buy lunch.

Pins designed by tattoo artists are usually the most creative. These birds are super limited quantity and were done by artists Zach Nelligan and Craig Brown. Yellow Beak has plenty more quality merch on their site.

I’ll let Zirk’s work speak for itself, since he’s basically speaking for all of us:
“Remember when you were little and you feared robbers more than anything? But then you grew up and realized that nothing cool would exist without theft? Art. Movies. Music. Policy. All thrive on a blatant disregard for the intellectual property of others. Steal your way to the top!”

Inner Decay is undoubtedly the best in the game, and they just released two new patches. Last month they released a bunch of new pins that we featured in the very first pin roundup installment. Buy everything before it sells out.
