Last Chance to Apply for FBi Radio’s All-Female DJ Masterclass

Future Annie Macs, this one's for you.

Dear Sydney chicks: this Sunday is your last chance to apply for a spot in FBi Radio's Dance Class masterclass, "a comprehensive DJ training and mentoring initiative for female dance music lovers." The class, put together to address the Polish-deli-like preponderance of sausage in nightclubs, and festival lineups, supports and fosters chicks wanting to break into DJing .

In its first year, the FBi Dance Class launched the careers of SPORTS, Mirã Bõru, Genie, Lauren Hansom and Ellie Locke. This year's program will do the same for four lucky budding DJs. And if you live in Sydney, identify as female, and are over the age of 18, you could be next.

The program runs from July 20 to October 30, and will include a series of night-time run masterclasses hosted by by FBi Radio's presenters, both past and present. The two hour workshops will be run by artists like Andy Garvey, Adi Toohey, and Kali, as well as FBi's Program Director Caroline Gates.

Program entrants will also be paired one-on-one with an FBi mentor, joining them on air for a whole month, before having their fresh as talents tested out during their very own live debut.
