David Tort’s “You Got To” is a Vesuvius Eruption Summarized in Seven Minutes

A blissful explosion of sound and movement.

Take a final gulp of that valerian tea you've been sipping on because David Tort's "You Got To" is an adrenaline-infused journey through sound.

"The only thing we were looking for was an altered state of mind, a trip to the deepest side of the club," the Los Angeles local explains. "I wanted make a timeless song, one of those that you can dance to with your eyes closed; like it used to be, it could sound 20 years old but still sound fresh."

Tort utilizes the powerful vocals of New Yorker Danielle Simeone, in harmony with riveting acid basslines, to ensure the track encompasses enough versatility for dance floors worldwide.

"Creating tension with Danielle's voice and then having the acid sounds coming out from nowhere — I think they get you as a listener completely," he says.

Tort, who has over fifteen years of studio experience under his belt, is considered one of the most influential Spanish artists in the global dance music scene. "You Got To" solidifies him as a storied, veteran DJ who still excels within the ever-so populated sea of twenty-something digital musicians.
