Anthony Holmes, better known as Tony X or @soIoucity, sprang into popularity this past season as the newest fan of hockey after discovering the game he said white people had been hiding from black folks was lit. His quick rise to fame began when he went viral live tweeting Game 7 of the Blues-Blackhawks series, and he has since become so popular that he was invited to present at the NHL awards in Vegas on Wednesday.Despite tweeting a picture of his plane ticket just hours before the event, when it came time to present the award, Holmes was nowhere to be found.Tony X's absence led to speculation about where he might be or whether or not his flight was delayed, even prompting the NHL to reach out to him and leading to a spree of tweets with the hashtag #TonyMIA. But on Thursday morning, hockey's newest fan put an end to that speculation and told the real story behind his no-show with the following tweet.
