Little Simz Drops “Stillness in Wonderland: The Film”, Continues to Run the Game

UK rap’s reigning monarch has released a fifteen minute-long visual to accompany her new album.

When Little Simz does something, she does it properly, so an album release is not just an album release. When Simz released her debut A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons, she also dropped a short film of the same title. In her wisdom and benevolence, she has done the same again for her second full-length Stillness in Wonderland, which she released on Friday. Stillness in Wonderland: The Film is a trippy 15 minute fever dream of a short which dips between the real and the surreal, kind of like Alice in Wonderland except it's much cooler and there isn't a creepy smiling cat that bugs you out a bit and makes you feel weird for some time after. Instead, it features the London rapper performing two of the album's tracks – "Doorways + Trust Issues" and "Low Tides". As the latest in a long line of extended music visuals this year, it's up there with the best in terms of originality, execution and pure style. Watch Stillness in Wonderland below:
