Where the Wild Things Are VBS Special

Starting today, VBS launches a super special mini-season of Art Talk! in celebration of director Spike Jonze's so-hotly anticipated-that-I-just-shat-myself film, Where the Wild Things Are. In today's episode, production designer K.K. Barrett explains the creative vision behind the film's set design. Barrett, a former punk rock drummer for The Screamers, taught himself set design for his band's personal film project in the late '70s. Since then, the highly regarded production designer is known foremost for his work with Spike Jonze and Sofia Coppola, designing the sets on films such as Being John Malkovich, Adaptation and Lost in Translation. Basically, he's one cool motherfucker. Check out the interview right here.
