Following Her Stunning Debut Album, Indiana Footwork Producer Jlin Shares a New Track

Pulled from her upcoming EP on Planet Mu, "Nandi" is pure, dark ecstasy.

Gary, Indiana footwork producer Jlin came out with her debut album Dark Energy back in March, and in so doing delivered some of the most invigorating, overwhelming, and mortifying music of the whole year. With track titles like "Erotic Heat," no one was surprised how shockingly unnerving the LP was, in a way recalling the sonic aggression of somebody like Lotic, more than it could have just been limited merely to the parameters of Chicago footwork. With news of a follow-up EP on Planet Mu, entitled Free Fall, we now have our ears wrapped around a stream of one of the release's new tracks "Nandi," and it's keeping up with her reputation in fine form.

Featuring three and half minutes of astonishing sequencing, percussion, and sporadic vocal samples, the track is a solid preview to the late November release that according to the artist's Planet Mu label boss, Mike Pardinas, will feature "more of a footwork feel" from the artist.
