Suffer for your art this weekend

Since this weekend is going to be nicer than every other weekend of the year put together, it seems like a good time to remind any artists among you who like winning acclaim, praise and fortune that life isn't just one big long summer. Sometimes you have to suffer for your art. Those of you who make films and want to enter something to the Kopparberg Klash - you will recognise this glorious bout of British summertime as marking just 21 more cycles of day and night until your deadline, which is on the 25th of June.

So, while the rest of the country sits in the park, burning small rectangles into grass with their disposable BBQs, you should probably concentrate on that film you've been working on. Or maybe tomorrow will be the ideal time to shoot your idea in the sun. Or maybe your lead will get really sunburnt this weekend and ruin the continuity of your film. Who knows?

Of course, those of you into fashion, music or photography can completely relax as you've still got a few more weeks to knock up an amazing piece of art that is going to make us all wonder how the world ever lived without your creative genius.

Fashion

The winners will be selected by Vice, with the overall winner taking home £1,000 prize money as well as styling a photo shoot for ViceStyle.com and coverage in the Kopparberg Klash editorial in Vice magazine.

Music

The winners of the Music Klash will get £1,000 and their winning song playlisted on the VICE Music Player, feature on the Vice Music Blog, get coverage in the Kopparberg Klash editorial in VICE Magazine and have the chance to play at the Klash winners event.

Photography

The Vice selected winners will be shown at the Kopparbeg Klash: Photo Exhibition. The winner will walk away with the chance to contribute to a Vice photo shoot and will become a part of the Vice Photography Network. Oh, and £1000 prize money to help you buy more lens caps.
