Laila Ali Says Floyd Mayweather Is a Broken Little Boy

Laila Ali doesn't agree that Mayweather is better than her father, says Floyd is "a little boy, a broken person."

For years there has been excessive debate over Floyd Mayweather's 'greatness,' especially after Saturday's not-so-entertaining mega fight that upped his undefeated record to 48-0 with a unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao. This debate is fueled by not just his fighting style, but his character. The egotistical, money hungry—and not to mention serial woman beater—is often compared to the great Muhammad Ali, with some even claiming—himself included—that he is better than The Greatest. Ali's daughter, Laila, however, is not one of those people.

Whether he admits it or not, Floyd admires and respects the fighter Ali was. If he respects the sport—or you know, has a soul—he has to. Ego aside, it must sting (like a bee) to hear his idol's daughter and family friend call him a little boy and broken person, but maybe that's the insight both he and his supporters need to hear. There is no doubt Mayweather will go down in boxing history as one of the best, but his legacy? Until he takes Laila's words to heart, far from greatness.
