Cavs Destroy Knicks, So LeBron and Co. Entertain Selves With In-Game Water Bottle Challenge

The Knicks game was so boring in the final seconds that LeBron and the Cavs played a courtside game of the Water Bottle Challenge.

As the final seconds of Wednesday night's Knicks-Cavs game ticked away, Kyrie Irving eyed the referee carefully. He swung his head back and forth, waiting patiently, until he was no longer looking. This was a superstar move, knowing just how to get away with a potentially big play late in the fourth quarter of a marquee NBA game. When the ref left, Irving sprung to action.

From the corner of the floor, off the bench, he flipped the water bottle. It didn't land standing up. Damn.

OK, then LeBron James gave it a try. That didn't land either. It went out onto the court instead, and sent him falling on the floor to retrieve it.

This is what accounted for drama for the Cavs Wednesday night. Irving and James had long been substituted out of the game. Like school kids trying to pass the time until they had to leave, they played the Water Bottle Challenge.

Judging the trouble they had, this challenge was way harder than playing against the Knicks. Life is just easy right now for Cleveland. Now if they could pull off the Mannequin Challenge during the game, that'd be something.

The Cavs beat the Knicks 126-94.
