Nick Kyrgios is a special talent, the kind of guy who courts controversy seemingly wherever he goes. Sometimes, it's not his fault and totally unfair. He was accused of mailing it in at Wimbledon this year, and got some unfair criticism when he returned home. Former Olympian Dawn Fraser told him to "go back to where [his] parents came from." Kyrgios' dad and mom are from Greece and Malaysia, respectively.Other times, the controversy is of Kyrgios's own making. For example, Kyrgios seems to have confused his Rogers Cup match against Stan Wawrinka with some kind of tense, SEC frat party. In the middle of match play, he told Wawrinka that Thanasi Kokkinakis, another Australian tennis pro, "banged" Wawrinka's girlfriend.Damn!Big Stan wasn't exactly thrilled. But rather than stamp out Kyrgios right there, he saved his anger for Twitter, like a true 21st century pro.

Whether Kyrgios will be punished remains an open question (he won the match after Wawrinka retired due to injury). Thanks the diligent work of Fox Sports Australia we've found out the identity of the woman in question. Using the time difference to their full advantage, Fox Sports Australia worked out that Donna Vekic, a 19-year-old Croatian tennis pro, dated both Wawrinka and Kokkinakis.Isn't tennis fun?… for this and stands up for the integrity of this sport that we have worked so hard to build.
