Jordan Spieth Hits Ridiculous Birdie Putt for Share of Lead at British Open

Jordan Spieth continues his march for history towards Golf's Grand Slam and this ridiculous birdie helped him out.

Jordan Spieth, American Hero, is battling his way to a possible third consecutive Major win and shot at a Grand Slam. He hit this put on the 16th hole at St. Andrews and it put him into a three-way tie at 15-under with Zach Johnson and Marc Leishman. The distance and read were absurd, but Spieth nailed it to the delight of the crowd and the broadcasters.

Spieth dropped a stroke on the next hole, but if he is able to win the British Open and then the PGA Championship, he will be the first person to ever win all four in the same year. Tiger Woods won all four consecutively, but did so over two calendar years, so the Tiger Slam is not quite the Grand Slam, or dare we say, the (potential!) Spieth Slam.
