Jeremy Hill Does Ickey Shuffle

Jeremy Hill scored a touchdown and then shouted out former Bengals fullback Ickey Woods with his famous Ickey Shuffle.

The Bengals and Panthers played to a 37-37 tie in a wild shootout in Cincinnati today. After going down 31-24 following a 13-yard pass to Greg Olsen late in the fourth quarter, Bengals running back Jeremy Hill tied it back up with a three-yard run and did the Ickey Shuffle to celebrate. The shout out to former Bengals fullback (and current insurance pitchman) Ickey Woods was set up by a 97-yard return from Adam Jones after the Olsen touchdown.

Hill looked to have given the Bengals the lead on a 22-yard touchdown on their next series, but a holding penalty negated the run. Cincinnati later settled for a field goal and took a 34-31 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Carolina used the rest of the clock to drive 54 yards to the Cincinnati 26 and Graham Gano hit the tying field goal as time expired in regulation. Both teams exchanged field goals in overtime, but Mike Nugent missed the would-be winner from 36 yards as the clock ran out in overtime.

There have not been many ties in pro football, but the Cincy crowd was also witness to a tie in 2008, also thanks to a missed Bengals field goal as time expired. You may remember that one as the time we all learned Donovan McNabb didn't know games could end in a tie.
