Put Your Feet Up and Get Ready for a Big Night Out With Clive Martin

From Cambridge student shit shows to basement metal nights, fetish clubs to indie discos, Clive spent three years drinking his way through various subcultures.

"Big Night Out," started as a series on vice.com and graduates to SBS VICELAND tonight at 9:20. You should watch it.

From 2012 to 2015, Clive Martin went to a lot of clubs. As he says, "These dark rooms came to define my existence; they became my office, my living room, the theaters in which the dramas of my early 20s played out."

As the host of "Big Night Out", a program that explored various subcultures, Clive was stabbed with an epi-pen, dumped while dancing in a cage at a fetish club, and punched in the head by a trainee marine.

If that wasn't bad enough he then had to cop a torrent of abuse on an episode of The People VS Big Night Out. It's a tough gig.

Watch "Big Night Out" Tuesday January 24, SBS VICELAND, at 9:20 PM.
