Dick Enberg Admires "Plump Pussy" During Broadcast, As One Does

My God, this is my favorite video in quite some time. For some reason, the Padres broadcast had a picture of a fan's Giants third baseman Matt Duffy's cat on the screen during the third inning of a 3-0 game against the San Francisco Giants. The cat is of some considerable girth, which prompts 81-year-old Dick Enberg to exclaim "That's a plump pussy right there." Oh my!

I really hope Enberg is mailing it in at this point and is just not so subtly subverting his bosses. That would be way more satisfying than an old guy saying something he thought was harmless. I feel confident saying he is messing around because, after his partner's giggle and subsequent awkward silence, Dick starts cooing "here kitty, kitty, kitty."

The Giants beat the Padres 5-1.
