Nessly Escapes Bounty Hunters in Space as a Cyborg in the Animated "Giddy Up!" Video

This is like if 'Futurama' premiered in 2017.

Atlanta's Nessly is a creative dude, no doubt about it, but he's outdone himself this time. His new video for "Giddy Up!" is an animated voyage into space travel, starring Nessly as a cyborg on the run from bounty hunters as he treks to various planets. You're going to wish you were also discovering planets of centaur-people while also becoming a centaur yourself. We're entranced, so we reached out to Nessly and director Manbaby about the "Giddy Up!" video, which you can watch below.

Noisey: How do you two know each other and how did you both come up with the idea for this video?
Nessly: I first discovered Manbaby when going through my Instagram notifications, [I was] intrigued by his avi and I figured he did something creative since it was a baby with a five o' clock shadow. After looking through a few posts I fell in love with his style of art. It just took me back to this lost style of post-90s Adult Swim era animation that I grew up on.
Manbaby: I had been listening to Nessly for half a year before it occurred to me to look him up on Twitter. But he got in touch with me about a minute after I followed him and we got along right away. He said he wanted to do something super futuristic with alien bitches and I just took it from there. Nessly's persona kind of reminds me of Han Solo in some ways, so I wanted to do something involving bounty hunters and being universally wanted.

Why does Nessly have bounty hunters after him and how did he turn into a centaur at the end? Was he a cyborg the whole time?
Manbaby: The bounty hunters are all either jilted lovers, or they want the reward on his head, or both. And Nessly's suit can transform into anything… because it's from the future.

What were some of the influences, like shows or movies or comics, that informed the video?
Manbaby: Obviously Star Wars, like the cantina scene and all that. Star Trek: The Next Generation was a big influence as well. And also the general costume and colour sensibilities of the old 80's X-Men comics.
