VICE Exclusive: Listen to Death and Vanilla's Dreamy New Track, 'Time Travel'

The band's new album is a thoughtfully self-conscious throwback to the psych eras of yesteryear.

Psychedelic music is one of the only things the 1960s got 100 percent right, and it's nice to see new bands like Death and Vanilla keeping the tradition alive. The Swedish duo of Marlene Nilsson and Anders Hansson makes exquisite dreamy, pop-y psychedelia. Their new album, To Where the Wild Things Are is a thoughtfully self-conscious throwback to the psych eras of yesteryear—it overflows with the Moogs, melotrons, and vibraphones that you'd recognize on your cool uncle's old krautrock albums.
