Parisian Punks Rixe Invite You to a Baptism By Fire

The French punks new record rips with more of the same snarl and poppy hooks.

Coups Et Blessures, the 2015 debut 7" from Parisian punks Rixe, was a refreshing blast of catchy oi inspired punk that helped give the style, which can often feel tired and staid, a good kick in the pants. Like all good oi, the sound was economical but savage and had a enough melody to go with the typical 'ra,ra,ra'.

Another EP Les Nerfs A Vif sold out almost immediately, and by the time Max, Tom and Wattie had toured Europe and the US they'd earned the reputation as one of the most exciting punk bands of 2016.

Baptême Du Feu 7" [or Baptism of Fire], their new four-track record will be released in March. Like previous records it will be on the excellent London label La Vida Ee Un Mus and judging by the first track that was released today it rips with more of the same snarl and poppy hooks.

'Baptême Du Feu' will be available in March on La Vida Ee Un Mus.
