Red Wings Prospects Hook Up for Incredible Saucer-Pass One-Timer Goal

This is simultaneously gorgeous and absolutely vicious.

Holy cow! What a goal! I've watched this goal 12 times now, I think. I'm just looping it endlessly.

Matt Ford and Kyle Criscuolo of the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL—a Red Wings affiliate—combined on this beauty. Look at how everything went just right there. Ford's assist is the perfect flying saucer pass, just out of reach for the defender. Then it floats softly enough for Criscuolo to be able to one-time the puck before it ever hits the ice again, and he fires a laser beam on goal.

Criscuolo may have been an All-Ivy League player at Harvard but I bet that's his career highlight.

Man, that's just beautiful. Let's get some more minor league hockey into our lives.
