Lil Wayne and Drake's New Song "Grindin" Is a Beautiful Symphony for Your Weekend

These guys needed at least one more song together.

Lil Wayne and Drake are going on tour together, starting tonight, and, just in case they didn't have enough songs they could potentially perform together, they've got one more for us. It's called "Grindin," and it's awesome, from Wayne reprising the noodly Auto-Tuned hook-making that he was so into a couple years ago and borrowing the Young Thug flow (you're allowed to borrow from someone who claims you as their only influence, I think) to Drake talking about his plans to unload all his cars because he's different from other rappers. The drums are like mini dubstep drops, and, as much as one piano line and a truckload of drum machines can sound like a symphony, it sounds like the motherfucking Mars Philharmonic. The Lilharmonic?

More importantly, Lil Wayne's punchlines are actually funny—"I sleep in pussy, not pajamas," "I got this shit down to a science/I turn in my project A-," "I got news for the monogamous niggas/your girl fucking anonymous niggas," etc.—this shit actually sounds like a Lil Wayne song instead of a Drake song. Oh man, this is so awesome I'm about to make some cool Young Money-themed selfies in the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour app. I'm about to move to LA and get high every day just to be like Drake. Listen to "Grindin" below, then play it again and turn your shitty apartment into a druggy Carnegie Hall.
