Boosie Badazz Continues His Miraculous Hot Streak with 'Thug Talk'

The Baton Rouge rap legend's impossibly good third album of 2016 features Webbie, Z-Ro, and the late Pimp C.

Boosie Badazz continues his miraculous 2016 today with Thug Talk, a brand new album of original material that marks his third release since the young year began. The rapper excels at flipping rocky times into soul-stirring rhymes, and these last two years have been a rollercoaster. Last fall, a year and a half after his release from incarceration for a murder he didn't commit, the Baton Rouge rap legend announced that he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer. Boosie took out his frustrations on In My Feelings (Goin' Thru It) and Out My Feelings in My Past, two albums brimming with rough snapshots of lives irrevocably changed by his trauma and the strife around his city.

Thug Talk finds Boosie in lighter spirits after having overcome his bleak health prognosis, but cuts like "For da Love of Money," "TV," and the title trak are no less heavy for it. Stream Thug Talk, which features guest appearances from Webbie, Z-Ro, and the late Pimp C, below.
