We're Screening 'Velvet Goldmine' in NYC This Weekend

This Saturday, June 8, Noisey and Nitehawk Cinema are teaming up to screen the fantastically sparkly Velvet Goldmine in Brooklyn, NY. We've got a fistful of tickets to giveaway, and we'd like you to win them.

Attention all film buffs, music fans, and glam rock revivalists: this Saturday, Noisey and Nitehawk Cinema will screen the fantastically sparkly Velvet Goldmine directed by Todd Haynes, the dude who made I'm Not There and Far From Heaven. It's part of our "Music Driven" series, which has been rolling along for a few months now. Come watch Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Obi Wan sing, dance, and dress like Bowie, and catch Christian Bale as… a journalist.

In addition to the screening, Noisey's Editor-In-Chief Benjamin Shapiro will be doing a Q&A with Nathan Larson, who contributed to the film's awesome soundtrack. If you don't feel like buying tickets, that's okay. We'll be giving away two pairs of tickets that you can get by clicking and sending us an email telling us you want free stuff. But just in case you don't win, you can grab your tickets online right here. The movie starts at noon, but you can always get there early and brunch it up.

Velvet Goldmine is playing at Nitehawk on June 8 at noon. Tickets are $11, and you can buy them right here if you don't feel like entering the contest.
