The Noisey Election 2013 Playlist

Think of this playlist as a reminder that there's some great stuff still going on in this country, even if it's run by an arguably misogynistic conservative meathead with 2% body fat.

Holy shit, in the next 24-hours Australia is (probably) going to elect Tony Abbott as the 28th Prime Minister. But while the state of contemporary Australian politics makes me want to sign up to OkCupid and ask girls to join a suicide pact, this isn't the worst thing in the world. I mean shit is pretty bad, but it’s not like people wear zip-off cargo pants anymore, right?

Tomorrow you'll probably be drinking away your democratic sorrows before 9am, and assuming you’re a real Aussie battler, you’ll keep sinking the tinnies till well past midnight. Considering you won’t be fit to drive or talk to strangers for most of weekend, it's important to have a pre-prepared election playlist. Think of it as a reminder that there's some great stuff still going on in this country, even if it's run by an arguably misogynistic conservative meathead with 2 percent body fat.
