Black Lips/Cerebral Ballzy Tour Diary 009: NEVER FALL ASLEEP WITH YOUR SHOES ON

LA: not afraid to take the free Sucka Pants stickers, unlike everywhere else. Promptly overheard a kid who took one telling his friend how he wants to rip it off for his band.

I have the weird experience of being recognized by multiple people in different cities along the tour. Weird because I'm not in a band.

Personal And The Pizzas have an on-stage pizza delivery, that then gets promptly tossed into the audience.

Almost getting into a fight with some dumb "LA"-flashing assholes during Ballzy's set when they steal Honor's mic.

After party at the Trash Talk warehouse. There's a full-sized bouncy castle and stage lights in the alley. Many people try to have sex in it, none can get enough privacy to succeed.

Abe almost gets into a fight with Black Chris when he physically fucks with a female friend of ours. Abe then later wrestles said friend, and is winning until she breaks out the elbowing and biting.

We end crashing on the floor at the warehouse, with one guy sleeping in the van to watch the gear.

Why you should never fall asleep with your shoes on:

Drinking beer in the post office at noon. No one even suspects the weird cheap mexican beer is beer.

"It's always a little hard to put back the first beer first thing in the morning."

We go to a Saturday pool party at The Standard with Lee (from Trash Talk) that The Black Lips are DJing. Annnnnnnd we get kicked out.
