The Black Lips Are Leaving the Dirty South to Get Dirtier Further South

We look back at some of the VICE/Noisey/Black Lips love from over the years.

Atlanta hot heads Black Lips and VICE have some history. We go back. Jared was actually born on some sawdust on the floor of the VICE New York office. Since then we’ve toured with them, interviewed them, partied with them, evaded the law with them and signed record deals with them.

Basically we’ve watched them grow from precocious little brats with a compulsion for trouble to middle aged men with a compulsion for trouble. The whole time they'e been busting out some of the finest middle-fingered garage punk that nods it’s head to legendary bands such as the Monkees, the Mummies and the Troggs.

So we are pleased as a very alcoholic peach punch to be presenting the four-piece gang return to Australian shores this summer.

To celebrate we look back at some of the VICE/Noisey/Black Lips love from over the years.

That one time when they played on India’s version of American Idol

That one time they disturbed the peace on the West Bank.

That one time (ok, it's probably been a few times) they got messed up on moonshine.

That one time they shot-gunned beer with Riff Raff.

That one time they hung out with Biggie in a hot tub.
