Atlanta Hawks Hire Three People Named Ashley Madison for Promotional Campaign

Who is in charge of these things?

In a somewhat tone-deaf move, the Atlanta Hawks have decided to invoke the name of a certain infidelity-themed website whose recent leaks have been linked to suicides. Yes, the Hawks are actually hiring three people named Ashley Madison—two women and one man—to promote ticket sales, saying, "The real Ashley Madison wants you to start a new love affair with the Atlanta Hawks."

Here's what the Hawks have to say for themselves:

"Fans are encouraged to start a new love affair with the team by customizing their own unique ticket plan to ensure they are at all of the top games during the 2015-16 season and receive the best selection of games, seats and pricing."

This has to be a joke, right? Or some kind of Inception thing that cancels itself out? Apparently not—it's too deep of a nosedive for that. In the ad, one of the unfortunate, hypersexualized namesakes knowingly whispers, "And don't worry, your old team never has to know."

Well, unless the Hawks web site gets hacked.
