It's been a banner year for rising Streatham rapper Dave – he's put out banger after banger, been nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2017 award, and a few months ago his track "Wanna Know" was remixed by the 6 God himself, to global fanfare. He's also still only a teenager, which should make you feel both sufficiently shit about yourself and your own prospects, and in awe of Dave's prodigious skill.
He recently returned Drake's favour with a remix of his "Two Birds One Stone", which premiered on Saturday's OVO Beats 1 show, and it seems as though he's been taking a leaf or two out of his de-facto mentor's book. On the mellow track Dave introspectively talks friends, relationships and his burgeoning career with lyrical candour, and it's probably our closest glimpse yet at one of the UK's best rap prospects in ages.
