Ohio Governor John Kasich Issues State-Wide Ban on Jim Harbaugh-Style Khakis

Dad jokes for days.

Oh, the government. Politicians spend so much time convincing people they're serious about their horrible ideas that they've forgotten how to make a decent joke. In anticipation of the Michigan-Ohio State game on Saturday, Ohio Governor John Kasich today issued the ultimate har-har dad joke by urging Ohioans not to use the letter M or to wear pleated khakis like (Ohio-born) Jim Harbaugh, among other disses. If you can call them that.

Kasich has told this sort of knee-slapper before: the tradition he calls "Scarlet Letter Saturday," in which he bans the letter M (as in "Michigan," get it?) started in 2013. This year, Kasich decided to ante up his wacky antics by calling out Harbaugh's infamous shirts vs. skins game, saying that Harbaugh looks like a Dockers commercial model, referencing a Seinfeld Dockers joke, and then making yet another State Farm khakis joke. Golly, let me tell you, it's a real hoot.

It's enough to make you want to root for Michigan. I'm even considering khakis on Saturday.
