Here’s How Trump Compares to Other World Leaders

Across the globe, populist upheavals, such as Brexit in 2016, have shaken up politics as usual. Also, in 2017, several heads of state were up up for re-election including UK Prime Minster Theresa May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel — both incumbents— and French President Emmanuel Macron for election.

This month, those world leaders gathered to discuss threat how climate change threatens life on the planet at the 23rd annual Conference of Parties, aka COP 23, for the UN Convention on Climate Change in Bonn, Germany. Since it’s a big and important meeting of controversial leaders on big and important topics, VICE Impact looked at how heads of state from Canada, France, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. compared to one another based on approval ratings from their respective citizens.

The data used to see how each of these leaders stack up to one another is based on available data from five different sets and taken at different times.
