Binary Age Musician Unknown Mobile Makes His Debut

Unknown Mobile is a musician of the binary age. He subtly saturates and distorts his recordings, blurring rigged characteristics and evoking raw beauty. In a similar fashion, he recently departed the frenzy of city life in Montreal for the serene wilderness of interior British Columbia. His first public release, a remix of Vesuvio Solo's 2014 modern classic "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is telling dedication to the two landscapes he calls home.

Family-of-friends turned imprint, Banko Gotiti, contains a refined group of Montreal based collaborators. After co-releasing Vesuvio Solo's '80s new wave tinged record Favors, in 2014 with Atelier Ciseaux, Unknown Mobile was called upon for a rework. Led by an infectious vocal hook, miscellaneous percussion clatters about while the original synth harmony works as a sonic emulsifier. Carefully choosing his samples, Bruce sparingly fills the space with tough stabs replacing typical dance music elements, like a bass line, without compromise. Both original and remix are dance-floor friendly.

Unknown Mobile hinted on releasing a full length album coming this spring. Blessed with advance listening, we can say Unknown Mobile's original works take a pop stance in melody, while his rhythms and structures are rooted in acid and piano house.
