Anderson Silva Will Face Michael Bisping in February

The UFC just announced the main event for its Fightpass event in London, and it’s a surprising one.

Scheduled for February 27th, Anderson Silva, one of the best fighters ever, will step into the Octagon for the first time in over a year to face Michael Bisping.

Michael Bisping's last loss was to the now ("and new") middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in November of 2014. Since then, he has wins against C.B. Dollaway and Thales Leites.

Anderson Silva has had some bad luck in this later part of his career, and will look to get back to winning after two loses to Chris Weidman and a No Contest to Nick Diaz.

These two veterans of the sport being matched up isn't particularly peculiar, but the fact that it will headline an online Fightpass event and not a Pay-Per-View speaks to the fact that these two are not looking to get back into the title race anytime soon, or at all.

Still, it will be exciting for Bisping's hometown crowd—and exciting for the rest of the MMA world to see Anderson do his thing again so soon.
