Japanese Wallpaper Premieres "Forces (Teen Daze Remix)"

Another taste from the deluxe EP, plus a hint at which direction his debut album will head.

Japanese Wallpaper, aka producer Gab Strum, consolidated his promise with the release of a self-titled EP midway through 2015. Punctuating the beginnings of a planned debut full-length, the self-titled EP is undergoing the deluxe treatment with a series of accompanying remixes – including a remix of breakthrough single "Forces" by Canada's Teen Daze, premiering today on THUMP.

Featuring the vocal talents of Airling, "Forces" clocked in at 69 on the just-announced triple j Hottest 100. Teen Daze accentuates the ornate percussion with this rework, underpinning Airling's deft melodic hooks.

On the direction of his upcoming debut album, Gab tells THUMP "I'm not quite at the stage where I know what this album is going to be about yet. At the moment I'm just trying to write a lot and I guess I'll figure out the rest along the way. At the moment I'm finding lots of inspiration in the music of The Lucksmiths, Good Morning, Rostam and Mura Masa. I've also been trying to record a lot more real instruments than in the past – hope you like guitars!"
