We already know that Stockholm Fashion Week will be made acessible to fashion lovers worldwide through virtual reality, but now the behind-the-scenes fashion world is getting the same treatment. While Democratic Front Row brings viewers the best view of the catwalk, Unstitched will take you somewhere that generally has even smaller audiences—the set of an editorial cover shoot.

"The majority of my work is self-motivated/self-assigned,” writes fashion photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya, who directed Unstitched.  “I decided i could do a fashion shoot and showcase it in a proto-behind-the-scenes kind of way in VR.” With the help of virtual reality content agency Virtualize,  Wijesooriya was able to create a VR experience that will allow viewers to step into the world of a high-energy fashion shoot. Unstitched will make its debut during New York’s Spring Fashion Week, and will be available for online viewers on February 8th.

Check out VR images from the shoot, alongside the resulting photos—which were a cover story for the Icelandic edition of Glamour—below. And here’s a fun fact: “Notably,” says Wijesooriya, "it is the only Glamour magazine where a model is using a handbag as a hat.
