"Your Father's Eyes" by Iceage Solo Project Marching Church Broods Like No Other

Let Elias Bender Ronnenfelt break your damn heart.

When Elias Bender Ronnenfelt sings, you can actually feel the words dropping from his mouth. It's that heavy. On the single "Your Father's Eyes," the frontman of the Danish post-punk band Icage lets his voice swell into oblivion as Marching Church, an emotional, alt-rock side-project closer to performance art than Scandi-rock.

This other side to Ronnenfelt waxes romantic. He's no doubt drawing on Tom Waits-esque delivery here (c'mon, he's even wearing a cowboy hat). The guitar-heavy crescendos build and break against the words. The video for "Your Father's Eyes" directed by the band's own Kristian Emdal, is equally overwhelming. Along with the single comes the announcement of a U.S. tour. Watch the video and check out tour dates below.
