The International 'Star Wars 7' Trailer Has a Whole Bunch of New Footage

There's more Chewbacca, more Princess Leia, and more vaguely worded voiceovers about Kylo Ren's destiny and Rey's maybe-Skywalker heritage.

Disney is playing the storyline of Star Wars: The Force Awakens pretty close to its chest. All the clips we've seen so far have been heavy on fan-pleasing imagery and light on plot. Even the extended US trailer was padded with reused footage.

It seemed like no one would be seeing any more of The Force Awakens until the movie's December release—with the exception of that fan who was granted his dying wish to see it early—but a trailer cut for international audiences and released Friday has a surprising amount of new choice shots.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens drops December 18 in the States, but if you don't already have tickets good luck seeing it before Christmas.
