Unnatural Helpers Stew In Some Pacific Northwest Scuzzy Rock

The Seattle band have released a “lost” EP of early material.

Back in the mid-2000s, Unnatural Helpers were a scuzzy and mentally tough band. Featuring Dean Whitmore backed by Lars Finberg, of The Intelligence and Puberty, and Jed Maheu of Zig Zags, the Seattle outfit were known for blasting short charges of power pop punk. I remember one review describing them as something along the lines of Nerves and the power pop of Tom Petty, and my curiosity was naturally piqued.
