Catalan TV May or May Not Have Airbrushed Ronaldo's Abs to Make them Look Flabbier

It's not the cleanest photoshop job, but it certainly gets the point across: people certainly hate CR7 over there in Catalunya.

Ah, Catalunya—home of wondrous hams, delightful cheeses, and fierce nationalist pride. Also home to Barcelona FC: sworn enemies of Real Madrid. You might be aware, but around the upper-right quadrant of Spain, they don't take too kindly to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo. So much so, that they may have even gone through the effort to airbrush the definition out of CR7's abs on TV.

It makes sense: Ronaldo's been enjoying an incredible run of form in major tournaments, claiming both the Champions League trophy for Real Madrid, and the Euro 2016 trophy for Portugal. He's always down to take (perhaps undue) credit for those victories, and to remind you of his cut-from-steel form while he's at it. So now's a good a time as any to take a swing at him.

CNN en Español also called out the Catalan TV station, TV3, saying that they blurred out the objects of Ronaldo's admiration:

It's not the cleanest job, but it certainly gets the point across: people certainly hate CR7 over there in Catalunya—enough to go through the effort to make him look less cut. Either that, or they were trying to endear the public to Ronaldo by making him look like he's eaten delicious Catalunyan hams and cheeses. It's probably the former, though.
