This is awesome. During the fifth inning against the Tigers, a young fan sitting down the first base line snagged a foul ball with his hat and proceeded to give the business to Miguel Cabrera. After he got the ball with his hat, the kid, whose name is Dominic, looked directly at Cabrera and started yelling "hello, Miggy! Hello, Miggy! Oh yeah, Miggy! I got you." And all Cabrera could do was smile, pound his chest, and give the kid his due.
Later in the game, Cabrera decided there was a little bit more he could do. He gave Dominic a bat and his batting gloves and he went from expert shit-talker to a fan for life. You can see him ask Cabrera "are you sure?" as Cabrera tosses the batting gloves. Dominic then tells the Tigers first baseman "thank you so much" as he passes him the bat.
It's just a great moment in that kid's life. And the cherry on top? He leaves some old dude hanging for a high five.[MLB]
