Junior Hockey Goalies Punch the Shit Out of Each Other

From afar, hockey goaltenders may seem like shy, timid creatures just hanging out in their protective creases and cushy gear while trying to get by unscathed in this cruel, violent world.

Sometimes shit gets really boring and lonely back there, though, making it necessary to find a relevant activity to keep your mind busy. With various time-passing options available for consideration, two junior goalies decided to go with the the least peaceful of choices and punch each other in the face of bunch of times.

The pair of netminders in the North American 3 Hockey League—a third-tier junior league in the US—decided they'd had enough of their one-man-island life and chose to engage with one another and exchange some casual knuckles. After getting tangled up and both falling to the ice, Luke Fry and David Mulligan helped each other up and promptly threw a pile of heavy bombs back and forth (and back and forth) for nearly 30 seconds.

The friendly festivities were all part of a wild third period in Willmar, Minnesota, on Saturday, which saw several fighting majors and game misconducts handed out throughout the final frame as the contest started to get out of hand. It was capped off the only way a scrap-filled game should be, with the goaltenders going HAM on each other before getting ejected.
