In a Facebook post, the musician Julia Holter has detailed her personal experiences with Matt Mondanile, the guitarist fired from Real Estate for alleged sexual misconduct. Holter states that "he was emotionally abusive to the point where I had to have a lawyer intervene and was afraid for my life."

She also makes reference to the allegations of sexual assault that a number of women have made against Mondanile, saying "I believe and want to give my support to all the women who are speaking out about their experiences." Having reportedly been in a relationship with Mondanile, Holter states that "Their allegations are in line with each other and they are in line with what I came to know about Matt in the past, which is that he does not have boundaries."

Last week, via his attorneys, Mondanile responded to the sexual misconduct claims made against him in a statement issued to Pitchfork. He has not yet responded to Holter's statement.
