Manchester United hosted Liverpool in the second leg of their Europa League tie last night. Liverpool won the first leg, 2-0. This match finished as a 1-1 tie, which allowed Liverpool to advance to the Europa quarterfinals on aggregrate. Thursday's match featured one of the best finishes I've seen in quite a while. Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been charged by the FA for a number of disturbances and infractions during the match.

Liverpool will face manager Jurgen Klopp's previous team, Dortmund, in the quarterfinals.

Pietro Lombardi, the long-time kitman for the Italian national team, recently passed away at age 92. Daniele De Rossi reportedly left his World Cup winner's medal in Lombardi's coffin.
