A loudly bellowed "ROCK CHICKS!" is the only chorus a band of metal-loving baby chickens needs to thoroughly trash a mini stage, reject selling out to a mini record label, and summon the grim reaper in Nexus Productions' new short, Rock Chicks. The film, released this morning by the UK's Download Festival, is far cuddlier than Nexus' past works, including the Bug & Factory Fifteen's apocalypitic "Function/Void," music video, but is arguably better suited to the Download Festival's "bid to wish each and every single one of you a riotous Easter."When we first received this brief I was very unsure of how to get little cute chicks to look like they are into Judas Priest," admits director George Wu, "but the chicks were very impressive for two-day-old actors. This is definitely THE band of 2015. I’ll be selling Röck Chicks shirts on their next tour."Check other Nexus projects on their website, and grab tickets to the Download Festival here.Director: George Wu
